Thank you Ms. Laurie for helping my show the world an undiluted form of myself, or at least as undiluted as the world can handle! It really was a joy working with you!
Oh mom will be so sad for you. We’ve spent several family vacations there. So special, I feel your pain. I felt the same way when we sold our beach house and it wasn’t nearly as nice as this one. It’s all the great memories we have of the time we spent in them.
I have some great memories of this place, and look for it everytime i come over the bridge, and when coming or going offshore. thanks for being so generous with it and letting us kiddos have space and time to make memories.
Laurie, your pictures of the dancing class made me want to dust off my dancing shoes which still fits. However, the tu-tu needs to be doubled at least! Your pictures were great and captured the fun and enjoyment the girls were having. You are truly the expert and a blessing.
Beautiful couple..beautifully done photos… captures the joy in their hearts… I like that the groomsmen all wore black and white Chuck Taylors, as well.
Congratulations on your studio. You are certainly a deserving person. You honor God in such a beautiful way in all you and I am proud to call you friend. Best of luck to you as you continue on this path.
Wonderful pictures! I was going to suggest the painted church tour to you. You need to do it if you haven’t, but in the fall. I took a group of “older” ladies once and the churches are amazing. We should get a field trip together and go.
I heard that the Shiner brewery used to have a spigot on the side of the building for the workers. Larry loves the family variety pack of Shiner, but yuck from me too.
I love this post. Probably because it’s just so you and Curtis. Also, we did the Shiner Brewery once before and really enjoyed it. (Jared more so than me. I was pregnant with Isaac at the time, so he got all my free sample tokens.)
Looking forward to seeing you next month! And the month after!! <3
I ran across your website and wanted to pop you over a quick email. My husband and I are looking to take some pictures for Christmas with our two golden retrievers on a beach where they can be off their leash…possibly Freeport, unless you know of something else. Would this be something you would be interested in doing? Also what are your charges for something like this? We live in Sugar Land and both work 8-5 Monday through Friday….so it would work out best for our schedule if we could do it on a Saturday or Sunday. Let me know your thoughts on this when you can! Thanks, Alysen
Thanks for doing this Laurie! I am so proud of your wonderful children and the beautiful family they come from. It is great to have this venue so I can go along for the ride. I love the ‘Oh Hello’s’!!!! Awesome work on everyone’s part! Can’t wait to see them in Salt Lake City!
P.S. Yes, I do believe the Mom clause gives you special privileges!!!
It was truly exhilarating. You did an amazing job capturing the “moments”. What was the biggest surprise to me was the diversity of the crowd – combination of young and old.
You and Curtis are so lucky! Please let me and Barbara know when the Oh Hellos get within 1000 miles or so of Atlanta. We’d like to share this joy again.
Joe
I enjoyed looking at the pics. I have lived in Brazoria most of my life. I am 67 yrs. old. I can’t count the number of times I have crossed the Brazos on that bridge. Thanks again for the pics.
Laurie ~ what a lovely tribute to both your parents! I have enjoyed seeing these very much. Thank you for sharing these and thanks also to your grandmother who thought to capture these moments for all time! Beautiful, beautiful people.
Laurie,
Thank you for the beautiful pictures. You absolutely captured the heart of the event. These awesome kids of all ages are why we volunteer and help this organization.

Adored reading this and so grateful that you are part of this journey watching in the wings. There’s a lot of comfort knowing someone is looking out for all of them.
So beautiful Ashton … We can’t wait to celebrate at the wedding with y’all ? Great pictures capturing these special moments! Awesome … Tears in my eyes …
This is perhaps the most unoriginal comment ever, but your pictures are gorgeous! 🙂 We used to bring monarch caterpillars inside and watch them become butterflies when I was a kid.
